What is the Adaptive Display Concept?

The Adaptive Display Concept is a promising new technology that has the potential to change the way we use our smartphones and it was a revolutionary concept for wearable smartphones by Motorola. It features a flexible pOLED display that can be bent and folded to accommodate different usage scenarios for users.
The phone can be folded into a smaller display that can be worn on the wrist like a bracelet, or it can be folded into a tripod shape for hands-free video calls or photography. It represents a glimpse into the future of wearable technology.

Motorola’s adaptive display concept employs a 6.9-inch screen and when folded, the display size becomes 4.6 inches that could be used flat in a tent mode and back in self-scanning mode or twisted back on itself and fitted on your wrist like an oversized smartwatch, the possibilities are endless.
Here truly fascinating is that this conceptual prototype offers a full Android experience just like any other smartphone on the market. It is a complete package for web browsing, video streaming, socializing, taking photos, and more by holding it in hand or tying it wrist.
Having a device at your wrist for quick photos, selfies, or handling calls and emails without the hassle of pulling up your phone from your pocket is a game-changer in the future of smartphones.

Motorola has been tight-lipped about specific details like what powers the phone its battery capacity and other vital specifications. There is still much to learn about this concept while bendable devices and screens are not entirely new they are far from commonplace. However, it is a concept at this stage. We will have to wait and see if it makes its way into the market in the coming months.
